I made a sports matchup database with a UI sitting on top as a learning experiment using native SMS capabilities for "network distribution." No real money changes hands, no picks for sale, virtually no user tracking -- just a database with a UI that generates dynamic SMS links. Been kicking around the idea for over 10 years and stuck on the DB part till recently. I'm curious whether it's possible to build and support something like this on a low operating budget and without hard-to-justify subscription models and predatory user event tracking/re-engagement strategies. I’d love honest feedback on what feels useful, misleading or unnecessary, or what could make it more compelling.
