Show HN: A Chrome extension that turns email threads into draft replies

Hi HN — I built this after spending too much time copying entire email threads from Gmail to ChatGPT and back. ChatGPT was already trained on my "mood" and writing style, and I would usually get a decent footer on my sales work.

My thought process was: can I have an AI that sits between the browser and a fully agentic AI bot? I want to be able to get the drafts done automatically but want to review before submitting the email.

What is does (SO FAR): Extension reads the current email thread and drafts a reply you can edit before sending. It works locally in the browser and only calls the API when you trigger it. All done through the Chrome extension.

Still rough around the edges — onboarding and prompt tuning need work — but I’d love feedback, especially from people who live in their inbox all day.

That's very interesting, all extensions I tried I had to write a boilerplate first, this one gives me a full email response with one click, will test this week to see how it goes
