I built a Discord bot for MathGPT.today that helps students work through math problems inside Discord, with an emphasis on clear step by step reasoning instead of just spitting out an answer.
What it does
Slash command solve: type a question and get a structured solution with the final answer plus the steps
Image support: upload a photo or screenshot of a problem and get it solved
Clean math formatting: renders formulas clearly so it is readable in chat
Follow ups: ask “why” or “show another example” without retyping everything
Why I made it
A lot of students already study in Discord servers, but most math help there is either low quality or too hard to read. I wanted something that feels like a helpful tutor in the same place students already hang out.
What would make this actually useful in a real study server
Any Discord UX ideas for making step by step solutions easier to skim
Features you would want as a teacher or tutor (homework mode, hints only, practice quizzes, etc.)
If you try it and it breaks or gives a confusing explanation, tell me what you typed or uploaded and I will use that to improve it.

I just tried it, and it seems there's a problem with following up: I asked it what the non-associativity of octonions means. Its answer mentioned "unique applications in physics". I followed up with "What are the unique applications in physics?", but it answered irrelevant things.
