This is both funny and wildly disturbing.

This is the most important thing on earth to many Trumpets, they "made saving the children" their "excuse" for letting the country be gutted.

tstrimple•1mo ago
I don't know how much you keep up with right wingers. Those I know no longer care about the Epstein files. In fact, they never cared about the Epstein files! It must be convenient to have reality warp around you constantly so you never have to question your decisions or beliefs.
scarecrowbob•1mo ago
It's been interesting to watch all the folks in my local newspaper comment section who used to call folks "pedos" for supporting queer folks or voting for biden all simultaneously stop doing that. If you file off enough cogs from the clockwork of yor mind you can think you believed anything at any time.
fjfaase•1mo ago
I doubt they will ever release the files that contain(ed) the name or images of Donald Trump as long as he is in office. They will find excuses after excuses not to release them and the courts will be busy with those that are mentioned in the released files.
db48x•1mo ago
That doesn't make much sense. Surely anything salacious would simply be released by the next administration? We've already seen how eager the Democrats are to tie Trump to Epstein. Just a few weeks ago they ”released” a photo of Trump surrounded by women with their faces redacted to imply that they were victims whose identity needed to be protected. Turns out it was taken as a publicity photo at a public event held at Mar-a-lago put on by a sunscreen company as advertising. The women were all models hired by the sunscreen company, and have testified that Trump ”was a gentleman”. The DoJ did not think that they were victims of anything, except maybe of participating in a tacky advertising scheme. If Democrats are that desperate now, how long do you think anything hidden now will remain hidden once the next administration appoints someone to run the DoJ?

I don't like Trump much, but anyone who thinks that he's a pedophile based on this evidence is not thinking critically.

kccoder•1mo ago
Why is trump working so hard to keep these files concealed if there isn't anything negative about him in them?

Are you familiar with trump bragging about going into the miss teen USA changing rooms while they weren't clothed?

If trump is innocent / the good guy, why not release the documents and prove it?

db48x•1mo ago
I don’t think Trump is a “good guy”, I just don’t think there’s any useful evidence here. If there were it would have been leaked during the Biden administration, or it’ll be leaked/released during the next administration.

Don’t forget that it was actually the DoJ that was primarily against releasing this information, on the grounds that it could compromise existing cases or future appeals. That’s a perfectly rational basis.

newguytony•1mo ago
Yeah, nothing useful, that's why they redacted 96% of useless files they released. Biden couldn't release the files because they were sealed by the DOJ. Also quite the coincidence that Epstein mysteriously died when Trump was president. But hey, nothing to see here.
db48x•1mo ago
His death wasn’t all that mysterious. He was on suicide watch, but his guards were negligent and didn’t actually check on him.
newguytony•1mo ago
Oh come on. On suicide watch and was supposed to have a cell mate, two guards fell asleep, the cameras malfunctioned, and they didn't take any pictures of his body in the cell. Not mysterious at all lol (face palm)

HaZeust•1mo ago
As if the person he was replying to didn't do the same. What's even the point of batting for the status quo like this? Do you enjoy your knowledge being obfuscated?
stocksinsmocks•1mo ago
Because it would be damning to Israeli interests.
sigwinch•1mo ago
The social connections between Jared and Ivanka, Alex Farkas, and Harvey Weinstein. Those connections lasted after Epstein completed his 13 month sentence.
wahnfrieden•1mo ago
The evidence has not been released. That’s what this headline is about.
db48x•1mo ago
Not released in time, according to an externally imposed deadline. Don’t make it about more than it is.
tjpnz•1mo ago
Counterpoint: the DoJ aren't the only ones with these documents. Now that they've played their hand there's a bigger chance some of the unredacted files will come out.
jauntywundrkind•1mo ago
Probably ran out of black ink (to redact with). It seems so inevitable that even after Congress finally demanded this release that the Bondi run DoJ will be in the bag to cover up as much as they can.
Tadpole9181•1mo ago
Holy shit, some of the files that have been released are just... They're solid black. Hundreds of pages, one after another of just a single unbroken black rectangle.

This is so blatant, there can really be no question the president of the United States raped children and is using the FBI to cover it up...
