I built an app called Good Dad. It sends simple daily reminders to help me be more present with my kids.
I grew up without a father, so I didn’t really have a model for what being a present dad looks like. Now I’m a dad of two young kids and I’m figuring it out as I go, often while feeling distracted, busy, or just running on autopilot.
The app is intentionally very simple. It sends short reminders about patience, connection, and slowing down. These are the kinds of nudges I personally need when I’m scrolling, stuck in traffic, or rushing through the day. I originally built it just for myself, but decided to share it in case it helps other parents too.
I built it during naps and after bedtime. There are no ads, no tracking, and no data collection. It’s completely free.
