Like many K-8 students, my son's school has a school 'spelling bee' in January.

I made this tool to help my son:

1. Practice spelling, and

2. Practice typing.

The tool focuses on 300 words from the standard 450-word list (specifically excluding the lower-grade words to focus on the more challenging middle-to-upper grade sets.

Key features:

- Audio Pronunciation: Hear each word before you spell it.

- Definitions: Toggle word definitions to understand context.

- Progress Tracking: Keeps track of 'mastered' words in your browser's local storage.

I built this because I found existing tools didn't drill the right thing, e.g. using multiple choice instead of asking the student to spell each word correctly from scratch.
