Why would anyone attack a Christmas Market? Who attacks Christmas Markets?

I’m left of center but tired of this liberal propaganda. Literally zero mention of the word Islamic or Islamist when referencing the attackers?

All the article says about them is: “a man steered a stolen truck into crowds in Berlin” (re:2016 attack), and “A man plowed a rented S.U.V. into the crowds there” (re:12/2024 attack).

Who are these men and why are they attacking innocent ppl?

Other sources:

— Eleven people died and 60 were seriously injured when the Islamist Anis Amri drove a stolen truck into a Christmas market in central Berlin on December 19, 2016. https://www.dw.com/en/berlin-islamist-terror-attack-a-deadly...

— German authorities are suspecting that the attack plans were based on an Islamist motive and that it would be carried out by car. The suspects include a 56-year-old Egyptian, a 37-year-old Syrian and three Moroccans aged 22, 28 and 30. […] Last year, a man drove an SUV into a Christmas market in the eastern German city of Magdeburg on December 20, killing six people and leaving over 300 others injured. The 50-year-old Saudi perpetrator, Talib A., had previously exhibited erratic behavior and threatened violence, drawing allegations of tip-off and intelligence failures. https://www.dw.com/en/germany-5-arrested-for-suspected-chris...
