Show HN: Solved the missing native speaker problem

https://www.langtrak.com
1•bijucyborg•1mo ago
During the pandemic, I reached conversational German by practicing daily with a human native speaker. It worked incredibly well, but it was expensive and hard to scale.

Now, with real-time AI interaction and high-quality image generation, I’ve built LangTrak — an attempt to recreate that effective, contextual, exercise-based learning experience for French, Spanish, German, Russian, and Finnish.

How it works:

- Watch a YouTube video in your target language and the app sets the context based on this content.

- Generate an exercise — the AI tutor creates a relevant language exercise based on the video content.

- Speak and solve — talk through the exercise with the AI tutor in real time.

It combines comprehensible input (via YouTube) with an AI Tandem partner, so you learn from content you enjoy and immediately practice in context.

Try it out here: https://langtrak.com

I’d love your feedback, especially from language learners or those who’ve used AI for practice. What languages or features would make this most useful for you?
