I built a continuously scrolling digital billboard made of 10,000,000 tiles.
Each tile can be purchased once, linked to a URL, and lives permanently on the grid. Approved tiles render in real time from Firebase, and the billboard never stops moving unless the user pauses it.
This started as an engineering experiment around rendering, lazy loading, and real-time moderation at scale — and turned into something oddly philosophical about attention and permanence on the internet.
