As I drove in this morning I met some cops at the gas station. I passed snowplows clearing lanes, although my lane seemed not to have been plowed in days. The hospital was busy as an ambulance arrived. Passing the airport I saw a plane landing beside a parked search and rescue helicopter. No doubt some pilots are asleep nearby. And in quiet rooms behind locked doors countless soldiers watch the electronic horizons that protect us all. If you too are at work right now, remember that we are what make Christmas mornings possible for all the normals safe at home right now.
I'll see you all again at New Years.
