Repo: https://github.com/neuro-os/neuro-ide
Neuro‑IDE is not a typical IDE. It’s a unified brain for kernel creators: diagnostics, visualization, binary analysis, memory mapping, log timelines, and a fully procedural story engine that turns boot events into readable narratives.
It’s weird. It’s opinionated. It’s integrated. And it’s the tool I wish I had when I started.
What’s inside 17 modules, all in one place (zero dependencies)
Narrative Engine that transforms boot logs into stories (Epic, Technical, Philosophical, Humorous, Self-Aware)
Real-time serial log timeline
Memory map visualizer (BootViz)
ELF explorer for 64-bit binaries
Universal Binary Diff
Mock Time-Travel Debugger (KTTD)
Sandbox generator for isolated OSDev experiments
English + Spanish support
Why it exists OSDev tooling is scattered across scripts, hex dumps, half-broken viewers and terminal windows. I wanted a single place where:
beginners can see what’s happening
experts can accelerate debugging
and the kernel can speak for itself
This is my attempt at giving OSDev a tool with soul.
Status: v0.2 — stable, modular, and evolving. Feedback, issues, and ideas are welcome.
