I built MaskMySheet, a Google Sheets add-on that helps you anonymize sensitive data directly inside spreadsheets.
This started from a real problem I kept running into at work:
I needed to share Google Sheets with clients or teammates, but the data contained real emails, names, IDs, or financial values.
Manually deleting rows or creating fake data was slow and error-prone.
MaskMySheet lets you:
- Pseudonymize data while preserving format (emails, credit cards, IDs)
- Hash values (SHA-256) for analytics without exposing raw data
- Mask partial strings (e.g. j**@gmail.com)
- Randomize data for testing or demos
Everything runs inside Google Sheets — no scripts, no exports.
I’m actively building more Google Sheets add-ons around privacy and workflow automation.
