Visa revoked. Entry denied. Decision executed.

EU response: "Can you explain what you meant by that?"

impossiblefork•1h ago
It's funny how quick they are to make a statement about this, when it's one of their guys (Breton), but the many employees at the ICC, they have to complain in the media about being effectively barred from using financial services and despite that, for them they haven't put out a press release even now.

The UN has become a death trap for politician's careers, and so the EU and the UN are no longer friends. Why? The US defunded the UN ... and, much less reported, the EU largely followed suit.

And yes, these organizations defend the careers of their previous members. Of course.

Plus most of the people with real positions there make Musk look like an altruistic genuinely kind person, so these discussions aren't nice.

I would expect worse explosions in the future. Much worse.

This is about 5 specific individuals, not all of Europe. (US decision to impose travel restrictions on certain EU individuals)

>If needed, we will respond swiftly and decisively to defend our regulatory autonomy against unjustified measures.

We know what this really means, the EU will really do nothing but maybe talk to the US ambassador in a stern tone. I wish here in the US and elsewhere people would stand up to the current US regime.

reloadtak•8m ago
What would you like the response to be? Retaliatory? Barring some US citizens? What would be gained from that.
