I apply every year and always struggle with preparing a compliant photo for the Green Card (DV Lottery) application.

The usual options are paying $15+ at a studio, using paid online tools, or trying to do it manually and hoping it passes validation.

This is a small script that takes a selfie and uses simple, reliable image-processing rules to crop and adjust it into a DV Lottery–compliant photo. It’s free and fully local.
