I have made my annual donation to organic maps and thought it would be a good idea to remind HN crowd to look back at 2025 and support OSS projects you benefited from this year.

I believe we should be asking companies - rich, post-IPO companies - to donate to the OSS projects that got them where they are.
Every startup should be asked to set aside 1% of the company on incorporation and after their IPO should gift that 1% as cash to the OSS projects they use most.
