It seems crazy to me that we use such a bandwidht heavy, time consuming and costly format as video to have any sort of public discussion whatsoever, especially as important as this, when you can post linked hypertext anywhere and it is virtually impossible to censor, can be self-hosted, requires no extra software or hardware, and can be viewed on almost any device. For public discussion, blogging and heavily moderator forums (like HN) are just far superior option and far better for democracy than any type of ”social media”.

Regardless, most boomers like to get their news from TV and younger from tiktok, IG and youtube. It is very very sad state of affairs.
