Show HN: One Card Tarot – AI-powered one-card tarot for quick daily insight

I built One Card Tarot (https://onecardtarot.org ), a simple web app that gives instant, one-card tarot readings with AI-generated interpretations.

The idea came from noticing that most tarot apps are either:

Overwhelming (full spreads, long rituals), or

Too generic (static meanings with no context)

I wanted something closer to how many people actually use tarot day to day: ask one clear question, draw one card, and reflect.

What it does

Ask a question (or draw without one)

Draw one random tarot card (upright or reversed)

Get an AI-powered interpretation tailored to:

Love & relationships

Yes / No questions

Daily guidance & reflection

Free users get limited daily readings, and there are optional paid plans for heavier use.

Why one card?

From my own experience, one-card tarot is:

Faster

Easier to reflect on

Less likely to turn into over-analysis

The constraint actually makes the interpretation more interesting.

Tech stack (high level)

Next.js

Serverless APIs

AI-generated interpretations (prompted to stay concise and grounded)

Stripe for payments

No accounts required to try it.

What I’m looking for

Feedback on the UX and interpretation quality

Thoughts on whether AI adds real value here or not

Suggestions for features that don’t make it more complicated

Happy to answer questions or share implementation details if useful.

Thanks!
