This isn’t surprising. The administration has shown they have no respect for the law, including basic constitutional rights. I doubt rules about safe public markets matter to them.

More simply, I feel like many of the actions the administration takes are simply about making Trump and his family richer. It’s not about making America better or making the world better. For example, I am sure they made a lot of money, trading stocks on every single change to the tariffs. This is no different.
