Ledga – A Budgeting Application to See Cash Flow

I'm the developer. I'm aware that posting Ledga in beta status is risky, but at some point you have to take the training wheels off.

I built Ledga mostly for myself, but as I moved through the development of it, I realized it might be useful to others as well. I had always managed my personal budget with Excel with occasional jumps into Mint, Monarch, Quicken, MS Money, and I forget what else.

Those tools serve a purpose and I liked all of them for many good reasons, but I have always wanted an application that specifically focused on what I did in the last month, what is happening this week, and what's coming up in the next month. I wanted to be able to do What-Ifs easily for vacations or large purchases. I also have five Gen-Z kids I still support in varying ways and I wanted to track that.

Ledga has all of these features, including a mobile web app that's mostly meant to be a snapshot of your current cash flow.

I do need to purchase a Windows Code Signing certificate, so if you download the Windows version now, you have to deal with the warnings. The MacOS Zip is notarized (Apple is horrible about notarizing apps in a timely manner and I rarely get the dmg through the process). I have not fully tested the Linux installers, so feedback there would be awesome.

Please treat this as a launch/beta and _try_ to be kind. I put a lot of work into this (though I did leverage Claude Code).

Cheers,

David Cornelson

I find auto-import features are the most important detail to get right. Time after time, some API or sync feature is broken or no longer supported and I'm forced to manually harvest my own data. Other than uploading CSV files, how do you ingest and update account info?
ChicagoDave•4h ago
I have a CSV upload feature and $9.95 annual Plaid sync. There are promo codes to get the app forever and one free year of sync.

I tried to make a robust "curing" feature to line your transactions up with your categories and budget items.
