Which programming language you will choose for writing backend applications :)

Neither, I will rather go with Java or .NET based languages.
Get to choose between Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure, C#, F#, JIT, JIT cache with cloud compilers, or plain AOT deployments.
Never had the need to go low level control that Rust provides for the last 25 years, and I have been writing backend applications since when the options used to be C or C++, maybe with a little bit of Perl as well.
Go just feels it belongs to the 20th century in language features.

I will use Elixir for the backend. It is a pleasure to develop with it and with an impressive performance and resilience.
