There is something about the sound that is deeply annoying to me. I don’t think it’s just the tone itself, but its low quality too, or how it’s coming out of my speakers.

Unfortunately I can’t be more precise than that, it’s unpleasant enough that I was unable to give it enough time to figure it out.

Curious if someone else experiences the same.

I wish there was a feature flag to make sites ask for permission to play sound similar to how they have to ask for location, notifications and so on. Then I could easily turn off sound everywhere and only enable it for a few select sites.
