Claude Coding on Manager's Schedule

1•michaelhoney•2h ago
Many of you will be familiar with pg's "Maker's Schedule, Manager's Schedule": https://paulgraham.com/makersschedule.html

It strikes me that one of the main changes to my day using Claude Code is that my work doesn't have to be solid blocks of focus, in Maker's schedule.

I can task the agent, go off and work on something else, and come back to it when I want, and the thing is done. Test it, task with the next thing, go and grab a snack. Repeat.

Is something lost? Sure, you don't get that deep engagement with the code. But not all code needs that. There are some things you can delegate.
