I liked the article, anyone with a lot of experience in sysadmin/ops/devops/SRE should feel a connection.

"Yes, we should absolutely be treating our product developers like customers, and thinking critically about the interfaces we give them. Yes, there is a middle layer between infrastructure and product engineering, with patterns and footguns of its very own."

This particularly has gotten me thinking more about building chat interfaces as most of my work lately has been slack related. What I mean is instead of building UIs for CI/CD pipelines, have them done in slack through chat. (chatops or llm). This to be is what a LLM is best at, not coding. Just taking communications and simplifying it down to instructions.
