For people working on inventions or standards, how do you usually approach prior-art searching?

Keyword search seems to work up to a point, but I’ve found it breaks down when the same technical idea is described very differently across patents, papers, or standards documents. I’ve also tried approaches beyond pure keyword search, but they still feel brittle for nuanced technical concepts.

Curious what people actually rely on in practice — lots of query iteration, classifications, specific tools, or something else. Would be interested in hearing what’s worked well (or badly) for others.
