Idea is to have a open trust registry for unsigned binaries at consumer scale. We have tauri, react native, electron based desktop apps coming from every corner right now. AI coding would have has multiplied the Apps. Last time I developed an App in 2023, it took 99$ per year to get the warnings off the mac app and for windows, I didn't have money get the notarization. I know we cant develop an open and free signing system. But we could have a wikipedia style community built and driven project for having desktop apps with a scanning, reporting malwares and other security features. I checked, no any such registry exists.
