Show HN: Qonvo – Group chat that visualizes your conversation as a live graph

https://qonvo.xyz
1•digi_wares•1h ago
I built a real-time chat app where every message becomes a node and every reply creates a connection. As you talk, the conversation turns into a visual map.

Try it: https://qonvo.xyz (click "Try Demo" to see it in action)

What it does:

Send a message → it appears as a node Reply to someone → a line connects the messages Use #tags → related messages link together Watch the graph grow in real-time as people chat

No AI. No cloud accounts. No login. Just share a link and start talking. Rooms auto-delete after 3 hours.

Why I built this: Linear chat is broken for group discussions. Important messages get buried, threads get lost, and you can't see who's actually talking to whom. I wanted to see the shape of a conversation – which topics branched off, what sparked the most replies, where the discussion actually went.

Use cases I'm exploring:

Team brainstorms where you want to see which ideas resonated Q&A sessions with branching follow-ups Research interviews where connections matter Any group chat where "scroll up to find that thing" is painful

Tech: Node.js, Socket.io, D3.js for the graph, Redis for temp persistence. Single HTML file for the frontend.

Would love feedback. What's confusing? What's missing? Would you actually use this?

thank you for your time in testing it.
