A Gripen in the air will perform a lot better than a F-35 on the ground. As Denmark notes:
> "They're in for repairs about half the time or even more," he said, "so the Americans have all the power of actually destroying our air force just by shutting down [parts] supplies."
Here in Norway we went with the F-35 as well, so stuck in the same position as Denmark. Then again we just have a handful of 'em so not like we'd make a serious dent should Russia or US try something, so probably doesn't matter much anyway.
