(after the horror of seeing it live, I lived through 24/7 replays of "go for throttle up" for months and it still haunts me to this day)

NASA is sending a DEI-chosen crew as part of a grossly over-priced pork project on a pointless trip round the moon in a capsule not fit for the job launched by a rocket based on recycled 50-year old reusable tech that won't be reused that costs two orders of magnitude more to launch than modern actually reusable systems.

God speed to them all.

DEI has nothing to do with qualifications and says a lot about people who try to use it against them in that way

The women in the astronaut program have more hours and more experience than most of the men

They've just been skipped over, for decades, just like men of color had more flight time in fighters in the 1960s than some of the men who actually went to moon

Try reading their resumes before making nonsense comments like that

"DEI" is about making an effort to get past dumb prejudice builtin for decades if not centuries
