Memes made real. So many cultural references to this. So many anecdotes. Everyone "knew" it was happening. But we gaslit ourselves that we were just imagining it, that somehow it was just analytics, or attention distortion. Truth is the best timeline.

I don’t think it’s even just limited to Google. Too many times I’ve seen something from a verbal description show up in ads or YouTube recommendations or whatever. I give very few things permissions to microphones or cameras on my phone. I imagine it could be things like FireTVs or echos from Amazon. Or maybe security cameras from various brands?
