There must be a better way for people to organize themselves and their output. Can't delivery rates be predicted? Why not a pay-as-you-go? What does the client see about their contractor's work practices and project timeline?

Perhaps workers could opt for a pay-cut to work less hours. Upon employment, the worker decides how many hours per week they want to work and can change that as time goes on. Do they want to be a slave or a free spirit? It's up to them.

Smarter employment really needs to happen everywhere, especially in "fashion" and personal electronics. What if there was a way for the final customer to know how their product was made and who were the actual individuals who touched their garment/device throughout the supply chain? Maybe a new tag to attach. This could even apply to the mining of raw materials or agricultural inputs. What are the human costs?
