Show HN: Planet Cert – Practice Tests for AWS, Cisco, and AI Certs

https://planetcert.com/
2•Alex_Weinberg•1h ago
Hello HN,

I built Planet Cert because I was frustrated with the two main options for IT certification prep: expensive monthly subscriptions or sketchy "brain dump" PDFs that encourage memorization without understanding.

The Project: Planet Cert creates practice tests for 1,000+ exams (AWS, CompTIA, CISSP, plus the newer AI certifications like Azure AI-900 and Google ML).

How it’s different:

-> Detailed Explanations: We treat every question as a learning opportunity. Instead of just marking A or B correct, we break down why the answer is right and why the distractors are wrong.

-> Lifetime Updates: The certification treadmill never ends. If you buy a course for AWS SAA-C03, you get the C04 updates automatically when they release. No recurring fees to recertify.

-> Modes: We built specific modes for "Study" (immediate feedback) vs. "Simulation" (timed, pressure testing).

I’d love feedback on the interface and whether the explanation depth meets the standard for those of you currently prepping for higher-level exams like the CISSP.

Thanks!
