Let's be clear that the disempowerment here occurs only when the user allows him/herself to be influenced by bad advice, regardless of whether the source is a chatbot v. social media, web etc.

The only specific relevance of these chatbots is that the stochastic parrots behind them are particulary productive at bad advice.
