I’m building Codeusse because I believe mobile devices have the potential to be great dev machines, but the software layer is stuck in 2015.
My goal is to enable "doom coding" by replacing scrolling time with coding time via a proper mobile IDE. Right now it is an SSH client that gives you a workspace rather than a plain terminal.
The problem: Most mobile SSH clients handle touch input poorly. Modifiers are a pain and file editing is risky.
The solution: I added a full GUI file browser over SFTP so you don't have to navigate blindly. I also integrated an LLM into the editor. You can type natural language prompts to generate config files or scripts, which solves the issue of typing complex syntax on a virtual keyboard.
I’m charging a small subscription to cover server costs and development.
HN deal: If you support the project now, your price is locked forever. When I release the full IDE features and hike the price for the public, early HN users will keep the current price permanently.
