Hi HN, we built Velovol to help teams distribute dev environments on their own infrastructure. It handles large codebases and dependencies without relying on external cloud services. Would love your feedback!

Hi HN,
I’m the creator of Velovol. We built this because we loved the concept of ephemeral dev environments (like Codespaces/Gitpod) but couldn't move our core infrastructure to a public cloud service due to data sovereignty and security constraints.
Velovol allows you to spin up standardized, containerized development environments on your own infrastructure (on-prem or private cloud).
Core features:
• Self-Hosted: Your code never leaves your server.
• Infrastructure Agnostic: Runs on your existing Linux machines/VMs.
• Instant Rollbacks: Environments are versioned; break something, just revert.
We're positioning this for teams that need the efficiency of remote dev environments but require strict control over their data and compute.
