Show HN: I build an AI Avatar to master real spoken conversations

https://immersiveconversation.ai/
1•rafmardev•1h ago
I built this because of a problem I kept running into: I freeze in certain conversations.

In situations like job interviews, first conversations with native speakers in a foreign language, or high-pressure discussions, my mind goes blank. Words and phrases I know just don’t come out. Reading and writing were fine, speaking wasn’t.

Most language tools focus on vocabulary, grammar, or scripted dialogues. They don’t simulate the stress, unpredictability, and pace of real conversations.

So I built an AI avatar that you talk to out loud. It responds in real time, adapts to your level, and lets you practice difficult scenarios repeatedly until the response becomes automatic.

The goal isn’t perfect language, it’s reducing hesitation and building fluency under pressure.

This is an early version and very much a personal project. I’m curious if others here have faced the same “freeze” problem and whether something like this would be useful to you.
