Maintenance is such an underappreciated topic in tech. We celebrate launches but rarely talk about the unglamorous work of keeping things running. Theres a whole class of invisible labor that makes modern infrastructure possible - from the person updating ancient COBOL systems to the sysadmin patching servers at 3am.
