This is a bad article. They start out with some finance / crypto nonsense and say they will give 5 reasons zero trust is needed... Then you get to the end and their 5 reasons are all things you can do today, without zero trust concepts from blockchainland, and are in fact all things we do today, some of which have nothing to do with secrets and are general guidelines for good security posturing
