Stamped – Travel Map Tracker (Explore the World and Show Off Them)

Remember the old days where our passport is full with stamps when we travel and passing through custom? With everything going digital these days, it gets less common now and I feels like we are missing out some of these memories collection.

With this in mind, I have recently built a travel tracker that allows you to stamp on the countries/location that you've been to. And most importantly, it requires GPS verification in order for you to stamp, so all the record will be genuine. Ultimately, I would love to have travellers to be able to show off where they have been to genuinely and no cheating.

Would love to hear all of your feedback on the app!

codingdave•1h ago
Can people add old trips to their map? Otherwise, this is more of a "where I took my phone since installing this app", not a full journal of lifetime travel. I'd also recommend offering a native or web app, so people who have collected photos over the years can upload them from a variety of devices, not just their phone.

I know that would conflict with your idea of a trip being "genuine", but that honestly seems like a silly feature to me. I'd love a journal/photo album organized by location and time, but having some app act as an authority to whether or not I'm lying about my travel? That simply doesn't seem important.

And like the travelling garden gnome, it shows where your phone has been. Good idea though.

Ah, yes, a former co-worker was one of the guys who stole a gnome for some travel and made national news with it in the 90s. Amusing anecdotes, to be sure.
