What I want from AI – two specific use cases for a Home Assistant

1•wewewedxfgdf•2h ago
The household chores tracker:

- I want some sort of house cleaning/family chores assistant device that I can talk to.

- It should live in the kitchen - I do not want another forgotten phone app.

- It must remember conversations long term and be able to return to exactly that conversation when I come back to it.

- I want to be able to talk about the housework.

- I want to tell it randomly what chores needs to be done as I think of them "we need to sweep the floors twice a week".

- Every member of the household does chores after dinner for 10 minutes.

- I want it to tell each person what needs to be done, ensuring there is an orderly rotation of chores done and nothing is forgotten.

- I want it to record what has been done thus it can keep track of what needs to be done next.

The study assistant - this would be incredibly valuable and useful if it worked well:

- This might be a dedicated device or possibly a phone app though I feel like a dedicated device is likely to be used more, rather than yet another forgotten phone app.

- I want a homework/study assistant which retains a long memory of what I am studying.

- It tracks what study i need to do.

- It tracks the homework I have due.

- It tracks the exams I have coming up.

- It organises my study routines and tells me what I need to do when.

- It manages spaced repetition learning.
