I want to show a project I have been working on.
I have ADHD, so finishing projects is always a challenge. But I finally did it - launched Pluma (pluma.ink), a blogging platform I built from scratch.
I wanted a simple place to document my thoughts and projects without the bloat of Medium or the complexity of self-hosting WordPress. Couldn't find what I wanted, so I built it myself.
It's basically a clean Markdown editor where you can just write without distractions. Each user gets their own subdomain like yourname.pluma.ink. No ads, no algorithmic feeds - just your writing. Built with Django because I wanted to keep it simple.
The journey was rough. Months of coding, debugging, redesigning. Many nights where I questioned if I'd ever finish. But that feeling when you finally push to production? Worth it.
If you've ever struggled to finish what you started, you know this feeling. Huge weight off my shoulders.
Would love to hear your feedback if you try it out.
