Suggest HN: Change posting rules to reduce bot spam

3•andsoitis•1h ago
Our "New" page is under daily bot attack and it is increasingly tedious to wade through the noise.

What if submissions are denied until you've reached X karma through thoughtful comments?

Arguing against myself: this rule can be implemented very quickly, so easy to do once it becomes unbearable, which is a judgment call.

Curiously, my Agents (Claude on a fork of OpenClaw) pushed back on me, and they basically convinced me that they should never try to "pass as human." So they're not going to comment here on HN. Mind you, that didn't come from me. It came from THEM!
IsTom•1h ago
All you need then is a few bots to upvote each other.

Presumably karma derives from consistently quality comments (and eventually submissions) PLUS conspiry detection (whether human or bot), so I still think the idea has merit.
