The contrast from the "hey there's nothing wrong with this" and those who were involved is pretty noticeable.

>Brady then asked the reporter, “Where’s the check from?”

>“That’s my question to you. Who is the Teton County donor?” the reporter asked.

>“Well, figure it out,” Brady said before walking back onto the House floor, where reporters are prohibited.

At this point, it really just is a show of impunity! There were so many ways she could have done this discreetly:

    As Yin was speaking to the reporter, Bextel approached the lawmaker to tell him she planned to sue him for defamation. 
    
    In her Facebook post, Bextel called Yin a “sore loser.”

The one good news is that, well, the state legislature is contemplating preventing this in the future.

It would be an improvement if campaign contributions could only be transferred officially, in public, with cameras watching, and the source, recipient and amount noted prominently.
