We built Dots Network because our friend group kept missing each other in places we all visit — Vermont, Boston, etc. The core idea: share your presence at a city or place level, never your exact coordinates. You control what each audience sees (close friends vs acquaintances). Available on iOS in 50 US cities. Would love feedback from the HN community, especially on the privacy model.
