A few weeks ago I shared an update on Portabase. Since then, we’ve tackled major challenges with file upload and storage for large databases, and a new major release is out:

What’s new:

- Full UI/UX refactoring

- Upload/storage flow redesigned for large databases

- Agent now handles uploads; Dashboard only manages system metadata

- Backup compression with optional AES-GCM encryption

- React upgraded to 19.2.5 to patch CVE + bug fixes

- TUSd protocol implemented for local storage to enable streaming uploads
