Because it's actually about adult stuff that happens in the real world, outside of the little bubble of entitled tech-bros with the ambition of a shonen character while having the brain of Disney villain's sidekick
A few snide remarks at the level of the average Reddit-post show this is not the place to discuss 'politically contentious' issues like this, both because it leads to the mentioned type of non-discussion but also because it is somewhat off-topic. Having said this even the 'ISRAEL-IS-BEHIND-IT-ALL' as well as the 'HN-TECH-BRO-GO-HOME' factions will agree (even if they might not dare to voice it) that it takes guts to go out and protest the deaths of those who were shot by the regime because they were protesting.
To throw some more fuel on this fire I do wonder where all the protesters on western campuses are who came out in droves in support of Hamas. Why the sudden silence, why aren't they out protesting in support of those who brave the actual (gun)fire storm raised by the regime? Their absence gives lie to their claim of solidarity with the oppressed, remember this the next time you see them out and about waving their flags and blaring their slogans. Here's one for those of you who joined them in protest before and in silence now:
