It’s interesting to watch the growing tension between the speed of social media amplification and the much slower, deliberate process of official verification. Even with systems like Community Notes, there is a significant technical gap when high-velocity content outruns the capacity for an authoritative correction. It really highlights the challenge of maintaining a shared information baseline when the friction of distribution has essentially vanished, while the friction of verification remains necessarily high.
