I'm building fitness SaaS – learning about pricing psychology in India

1•waaznfit•2h ago
I’m building a small fitness SaaS called waazn.fit.

Instead of chasing high-ticket pricing, I went with ₹99/month (~$1).

Here’s what I’m observing:

At ₹299/month, people “evaluate.”

At ₹99/month, people “try.”

Free trials convert better when the price feels negligible.

Indian users are extremely price-sensitive, but not value-insensitive.

What surprised me most: People hesitate more at ₹199 than ₹99 — even though the difference is tiny in absolute terms.

I’m curious how other founders think about ultra-low pricing in emerging markets.

Does low pricing increase trust? Or does it reduce perceived value?

Would love to hear experiences from others building in India or similar markets.
