Rebabble captures short sounds that happen before you fumble with a manual recorder.
I built it as a new dad because the best moments are fleeting - I wanted to capture them instantly, without waiting around for them to happen, or fiddling before the moment is over. One of the features I wanted to build into this was the instant echo - so my baby hears herself being echoed back to her. She's super curious and it makes her want to coo more.
It’s been just as magical in the garden too - I’ve been recording birds and getting surprising engagement from the neighbourhood wildlife.
How it works: (1) Tap once to start listening mode, (2) It detects sound and records a clean snippet, (3) It plays the snippet back instantly
Target users: (1) Parents capturing first words, coos, and giggles, (2) Birders/nature folks recording calls hands-free
Would appreciate feedback on: (1) Detection quality across noisy environments, (2) UI flow for quick capture and review, (3) Missing features for power users
