I'm a solo indie developer and this is my first app. I built Dreamscroll because I have a terrible habit of scrolling social media before bed, which obviously doesn't help with sleep. The concept is simple: scroll through thousands of curated nature photos instead of your social media feed. Mountains, oceans, forests, etc. No engagement algorithms, no ads, no data collection. Apple rejected the first version for "minimum functionality" — basically said it was just a photo viewer. Instead of arguing, I spent a week adding session tracking, streak tracking, and bedtime reminders. The rejection made the app better. The core app is completely free. Planning to add paid features later, but the basic experience will always be free. Happy to answer questions about the build (React Native/Expo, Cloudflare R2) or any design decisions!
