Hey HN, We've decided to open-source our Portable Secret. It's a free tool that generates self-contained HTML files which decrypt locally in your browser.

The project is inspired by an old post (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34083366) by mprimi, who coined the term "Portable Secret." I really liked the idea and wanted to improve the security of the KDF and the UX. I hope he's honored that so many people have iterated on it over the years.
